Charles Barsam, MD
I welcome you to our Ophthalmology practice at Barsam Vision Care & Aesthetics Center and invite you to explore our newly designed website. This practice both stands on the shoulders and builds upon the medical and ophthalmological care of both my father and grandfather who delivered advanced and compassionate medical and surgical eye care to the greater Boston community for nearly a century.
Over the past two decades, I have sought to follow in our family’s tradition of delivering the latest technological advances in vision care and doing so within a patient-centered, community-based environment. At Barsam Vision Care, we offer the most comprehensive care to our community by addressing a patient’s complete eye care needs at all stages of life. By offering our patients every aspect of eye care from glasses and contact lenses to advanced cataract surgery with premium lenses and laser vision correction, we seek to be your sole destination for the care of your sight.
It has troubled me that the prevailing trend in the field of medicine has been an increasing corporatization and hyper subspecialization which has taken the patient out of their rightful position as the focus of care.
Our practice is individually owned and managed by those of us who grew up in these communities and whose values reflect a commitment of patient-focused continuity of care.
I have sought to bring the best of the care one would find in an academic center to our community by investing heavily in the most sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to ensure the highest levels of technological precision in our evaluation and treatment of our patients.
Moreover, I am proud to say that we have the most caring and compassionate staff that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They recognize, as do I, that we are here to be of service to others in their time of need. To this end, we welcome, without exception all patients and honor the diversity of our community.
I invite you into the family of our community of care.
